3/24/18: mosasaur vertebra. North TX

Cool surprise today. Ive found many Mosasaur vertebrae lying in the creeks but never in the bed rock. I’ll have to check back later and see if there’s more.

Congrats to you John!  I did notice a small amount of bone was missing from the lower end of the vert. Were you able to recover that from the matrix as well?   Anxious to hear MORE about your finds!   Dave

Yes a small amount broke off but I’ll be going back
