Niobrara Coprolite

I am wondering if any more information can be gleaned from this specimen beyond "coprolite".  Bony fish? Shark? Mosasaur?

 

Niobrara fm., Cretaceous. NW Nebraska.

There was a thread about these recently, but i don't think it established which animal they were from :

but this article suggests possible mosasaur origin, though not for certain.

Thanks Adam. After I posted this, I realized that this coprolite might have come from the Pierre Shale (I know for sure the one in my other post does).  I'll have to check my notes tomorrow and confirm whether or not this one is Niobrara or Pierre.

It looks like Niobrara, but I'm not as familiar with coprolites from Kansas as I am from other areas. You might have to post photos at an angle in order for me to tell if it is a spiral. It doesn't look like it has inclusions, so what ever made it likely had a very acidic digestive tract.

Thanks, @GeschWhat.  I'll mark the specimens accordingly.  I don't see a definitive spiral on this one.
