Hatching a Dino egg.

We'll guys, I finally got an egg to hatch.  Through gentle tender care, it happened. The world may never be the same again!

I while back I got some eggs from one of our members in the UK. I wont mention his name but he has the initials John Brewer.

The two eggs were, I suspect unfertilized and thus never managed to hatch.

He sent me another one recently that had all the makings of a good specimen. Good shape, correct markings, and a certificate of authenticity,  it just felt right.

Here is a shot of it as it looked when it arrived.

After a nice long soaking in my special hatching fluid, It began to break out of its shell and shock the World.

It looks like a Rubbersaurus.

And just how active were you right after you hatched. It take a lot out of you breaking free of the shell.

This looks like a stiffosaurus plasticrubberus. A solitary ornischian that lives life like a sea sponge. Has arms and legs, but they prove to be useless. It also attains a maximum height of 5 inches (depending on how much "special hatching fluid" the animal is subjected to). Notice the rubber like structure of the animal. Truly amazing work caldigger.

Did it require nourishment? Did it see you as its mother?

Haha, glad this one was fertilised! If left in ‘special fluid’ I wonder if it will get bigger? Be careful tho in case it gets outa hand....

 

oh, and you broke the ‘Trading with John Rule’ matey, not a tattoo in sight!
