There are also those who don't know what they are buying, and they are ultimately the ones who are scammed, by both the sellers and the manufacturers. A world without reproductions would be nicer, but it's a way to afford otherwise expensive specimens, i.e. in museums too. Problem is not in Morocco, a lot of real trilobites comes out each year and most Moroccan sellers are very professional, a lot of cheap junk comes out too, but the main problem are greedy resellers, selling those 1$ copies as it was the real thing! It's easy to say Moroccans brought the bad reputation on themselves, but the fact is the real scam artists are among some resellers in USA (and EU) and it's time people realize that. I've seen a fair share of resellers buying cheap fossils from Morocco and reselling for 2x-10x the price. It's usually the same story about fake trilobites, buy a cheap reproduction and resell it for profit, it's naive to think experienced resellers (selling fossils for years) don't know what they sell... No matter what someone chooses to buy, from where and whom, caveat emptor applies.
