Jojokez
Hey all. I'm new to the site. I happened upon what I can only assume is a femoral head of some sort. Any ideas?
caldigger
Can we see a straight on shot of this end?
Laditz
Agree it's part of a femur. Looks like it took a bit of a beating, making it harder to identify.. One thing that might help is a picture straight from the top, and measurements.
caldigger
Also a bit of locality information always helps in IDing.

Max-fossils
Welcome to ! @caldigger is right. The locality is the most important info. So where did you find yours? Jojokez
@caldigger, @Laditz, Found on the shoreline of a tidal rider in coastal South Carolina. USA. Charleston area... Edited April 4, 2018 by Jojokez
Laditz
I've tried comparing it, but didn't find any matches sadly.. might just be that too many parts missing. It's too small for something like horse or cow. More something deer-sized. Hope someone with more knowledge of these bones and locality will check in
