Sacha Posted April 7, 2018 Share Posted April 7, 2018 These 2 items were the only finds of interest on my trip to the Peace yesterday. I'm assuming the vert is mastodon or mammoth, but the other little item is a stumper. I feel like I've seen it before somewhere, but I can't place it. Shellseeker Posted April 7, 2018 Share Posted April 7, 2018 John, I have found only a couple much more worn than yours and considered it a likely section of a turtle/tortoise Nuchal scute. I found this Vertebrae a couple of years back and believe it to be Mastodon because of teeth and tusk found in the same location.. Not sure if Mammoth is distinguishable from Mastodon. I was also out yesterday, maybe we were in relatively close proximity.
