kbaldwin0630
Help!! I don't know much about fossils, but collecting them is a hobby of mine. I was in a creek in my backyard when I found these and have been trying to find out what they are to no avail. I find many crinoids, shells, and other ocean fossils often so my guess is some sort of ocean plant maybe? Just an educated guess but any help would be greatly appreciated. DPS Ammonite
Welcome to The Fossil Forum. They all look like silicified horn coral. Some of the microcrystalline quartz has formed small circular rosettes called beekite. The outer covering of the corals has not been preserved revealing the long rows of septa. In the last photo, the animal lived in the larger end of each coralite on the right side. 7 My goal is to leave no stone or fossil unturned.
