Interesting! I really don't have a clue other than it looks like a bony/ antler type material. The shape looks a little like a claw shape. I'll be anxiously awaiting the responses.

Actually I strongly suspect it is a tabulate coral. I'm in hopes of finding an example of a favositid looking colony from the formation that is preserved as casts of the individual coralites in slightly skewed stacks. I suspect this may be something similar.

A bit of spring cleaning should bring it to sight somewhere in the house.
