Obtained in my first ever trade - possibly one of the best Nanotyrannus teeth that I have ever seen and it is really large for a Nanotyrannus tooth. The photos don't do the tooth justice and you can only capture so much detail using a phone camera but here goes.

 

 

Some people use the fact that they use a phone camera as an excuse for bad photos, but you've done an excellent job with yours. Wonderful tooth

Thanks! I am not sure if I have calculated the count accurately and it was really hard to hold the tooth against a ruler but here are photos in case. You can click on the photos to zoom in if you need to.

 

Distal serrations - 12 denticles in 5 mm

 

Mesial serrations - 13 denticles per 5mm

Thanks! I try to take the photos in direct daylight that's what brings out the true details/colours in a tooth.

Tyrannosaurus Rex vs Nanotyrannus tooth comparison

I haven't posted any new dinosaur teeth in a while so here goes. I bought this tooth over a month ago and received it today. The seller describes it as a Diplodocid Apatosaurus (Apatosaurus ajax) tooth however I think it's likely a Diplodocus tooth but who knows. This specimen is well preserved in the matrix with the entire root present which is super cool. A big tooth and the largest sauropod tooth in my collection! I couldn't capture its size using my phone camera as the tooth looks smaller in the photo compared to what I see in person but I have taken a photo regardless so that you can get an idea of scale.

Thanks! Most dealers that I know of have multiple people that buy from them and a lot of people have bought teeth from them however I was lucky to come across it at the right time.

This pliosaur tooth arrived today. It is the ultimate fossil reptile tooth from an absolute monster! It's a tad bit under 4 inches and came from a private collection in the USA almost 10 years ago. I hope you like it.

This sauropod tooth from Madagascar arrived today. I like the wear facet at the top of the tooth it gives the tooth character. The tooth also has a small portion of the root intact. Here are photos:

Tarbosaurus

Flaming Cliffs (also known as Bayanzag)

Mongolia

(cf. Zhuchengtyrannus/cf. Tarbosaurus)

Size: 3 inches straight line

 

This tooth came from an old collection and is a super thick and I am so happy that I finally managed to get a tooth that I have wanted for ages. It looks close to the pre max in the tooth arrangement from the front of the mouth.
 

It was sold as a Tarbosaurus tooth and according to @Anomotodon Tarbosaurus bataar is only described from Nemegt formation which is 5 my younger than the Flaming Cliffs (Djadochta formation). I have labelled the tooth as cf. Zhuchengtyrannus/cf. Tarbosaurus since it's contemporary however technically it's a Tyrannosauridae indet. since who knows it may actually be from a new species.

This pair of teeth came yesterday. I personally think that Iguanodon teeth are my favourite type of herbivore teeth. I love the ridges on them they are really beautiful.
