Fossilized tooth or not?

Hello :)

My friend found this tooth in a Timok river, eastern Serbia. He thinks that this tooth may be fossilized. It's heavier than a normal tooth, almost like a rock.He tried with lighter to burn it a little bit and told me that it doesn't have a smell. Now the second question is: from which animal this tooth may be ?

Think this would be an upper premolar from a Bovid (cow or bison).

Hard to tell if it's fossil, although that root does look like it's been in the ground for a while.. :)
