Stroke Crabs

RJB

Recommended Posts

Its been a tuff 3 weeks with this dang stroke, but ive been out n the garage twice now and did some prep.  Im a bit slower nowadays, but super really nice to get out to the garage, (Prep Lab).   Here is 3 concretions.  One turned out to be a BFN!!  I hate those, but its very common.   I hit carapace on the other two.  Im gunna need some time to get these finished, but the good thing for me is that Its practice that will get me good enough to finish up that Tumido I was working on before this happened.  More pics later as I get out to the garage and do more prep.

I don’t know how you do it, but you do! Being from Maryland, I know once a Crab lover, always a Crab lover!

Hey RB, glad to see/hear you are still after them dudes! I've had to ratchet back a bit myself and it takes some getting used to. Enjoy those crabs!!

For some reason I didnt picture you going thru the top of the concretion like that...I know I've seen your prep stages before so I guess my memory is fading way faster than I thought. Interesting to see the beginnings of greatness.  Keep after them!

Hey Ron, I would have been impressed for you starting prep on just one crab already. And here you go and start 3! That is awesome!:crab:

It may be tuff, but you are obviously one tuff guy to be coming back like this so quickly after a stroke. You are extremely lucky after all is said and done, but don't let that happen again!

Just saw this link.  Holy cow Ron, glad to hear you are on the way to recovery and doing the thing you do so well, exposing "me lovelies" to the light of a new day.  Take care

I’m glad to see that you’re still trucking along! I always enjoy your prep threads, and you make those crabs absolutely stunning (this is coming from a girl with a phobia of crustaceans). Take your time recovering, and we’re all glad to see you staying active.

I was worried we would have to wait months to see more of your crabs

It may be taking me a bit longer to prep a crab, but so nice to be out in the garage.

Ok, like usual, these crabs have turned out to be less than  B-Grade crabs with lots of problems.  It was nice to get these started and be out in the garage, but this is as far as I go on these to dang things!  Just the way it goes.  These are going into the trash pile.  The trash pile is getting bigger.

Ron, ... I think you should consider selling your trash pile.

Trash pile? :o

i'm sure someone would treasure them, such as they are.

Local children?

I think they're sweet.

(the fossils, not the local children, though they may be too, I suppose.)
