I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO excited! I just received my prize for best caption. I received these lovely original linocut prints from the Fabulous @Bobby Rico and his Mrs. I love them all, but must admit the coelacanth is my favorite. I can't wait to get them framed. Thank you so much Bobby!

That is insane! Fresh water? I imagine myself as an 8 year old playing in a creek near our house catching crawdads and playing with them. If we saw a 3 to 4 inch one it was huge. If I’d seen that thing crawling in the creek I’d have had nightmare and would not have wanted to go near the creek again. I would probably not be a fossil hunter today. Thank God they don’t have them like that where I grew up.

Of course knowing my dad he probably would have made us kids spears to carry with us and teach us to skewer the things with them. Then I’d be an Amazon type woman hunting fossils with a spear. Oh my imagination can come up with all kinds of scenarios.

@Bobby Rico be strong and get better. Listen to what the wife says or she may delete your account and you will have to start over with a new post - “show ups your plastic dinosaurs- Redue Version”, and you don’t want to do that. Take care and can’t wait to see you posting soon.

Ketchup?!  What planet did you say you were from?

Crayfish are like mini lobsters. Would you go into a fine restaurant and ask for ketchup for your lobster?  You'd be tossed out and forbidden to return!

The mere thought, agh!!!

Also known as crawdads. ;)

I bought Marmite today, does it fit with lobsters ?:P

No, no, no.

I'd never resort to putting ketchup on lobster or even crayfish.

But ketchup goes very well with plastic.

Like the cheese they put in burgers, for example.

It's a British yeast extract with a unique and very strong and bitter flavour, it comes out of the pot (see post above) black or sort of very, very dark brown.

One eats it on toast, in sandwiches with cheese, or it can be used in meat sauces and gravy.

It's advertised with the slogan, "Marmite - You either love it or you hate it!"

No ones in between. I love it, and so does Sophie, it would seem.

They have a similar product in Australia called Vegimite, but it's not the same flavour.

Buying bread from a man in Brussels
He was six-foot-four and full of muscles
I said, "do you speak-a my language?"
He just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich

The first time i went in England (Bristol), i had it with beans, peas and meat, like a sauce and its flavour fitted well so i'm in the "love it" camp. My brother had it on toasts and, well,... he hates it. One of my cousin lived about one year in London, i hear he sometimes had it on toasts for his breakfast and, well, i didn't hear him saying he hated it, so, i guess he loved it.
