A couple things to keep @Tidgy's Dad attentive to this thread and as a peace offering for my vertebrate fossils of late...

My sister came a round today for a visit and drop this super cool old postcard. Fun to see the early paleontologist mistakes

I like the brachiopod shirt and beer glass. Where might I find these, @Peat Burns ?

Search "brachiopods" on Amazon.  I was looking for a book and found all these other cool brachiopod things.

Yes me too :1-SlapHands_zpsbb015b76: I just framed it with some ticket stubs from The Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences. If your ever in Brussels it is an amazing museum for the dinosaur fan. It has I think on display 17 Iguanodons  skeletons pretty impressive.

Today was my nephews 7th birthday and since he is my biggest supporter with my fossil collecting I tried to make it little more special. Plan worked, took 2min. and Dino had a name. He loves it :dinothumb:cake was cool as well :)

Cheap "Tupperware" type of container. And be sure to get some of the waterfall. I think Adam would like a blue tongue over green.

@Tidgy's Dad @Innocentx @Bobby Rico this was hand-made for me as a gift.  Brachiopod fossils were used to make the impressions, and the brachiopod on the lid was sculpted.

Wow you’re nephew is one Lucy lad. The T.rex is amazing I would love that indeed for my birthday but I think  Mrs R may have something to say about it , that been half the size of our lounge and bigger than the average dog. Wish the little lad a happy birthday from me and the plastic dinosaur thread. :ighappy:

Thank you, it's the same with Mrs everywhere. I am sure his mom wasn't as excited as he was :) Thanks for the wish, he will be happy. Cool thread by the way :dinothumb:

Yeah Mrs R secretly does love the dinosaur and she is pretty tolerant to my fossil/dinosaurs obsessions and is to blame for half the dinosaurs memorabilia doted around the house . She got me this wind up Brachiosaurus last week for instance   :D

Very nice, my Mrs could be little bit more tolerant. Big and long negotiating going on here before something new makes a way in to the house from the workshop in the basement :D

I am still trying to figure out what the original sculptor of this skull had in mind as the shape of it looks fairly similar to giraffatitan until you look at the snout and the width of the whole thing which does not fit to what we know about that animal, but it does not completely fit the Felch Quarry skull either with some of the traits like the jaw or nasal bone, but I think it still looks quite neat. Might make it more gray like the actual fossils but right now this is what it looks like.

You could try to correct it like @Mahnmut is doing in this thread

Just a thought. It is a very nice display piece though.:dinothumb:
