Hi Jess

I am the most curious of collector, maybe even a collector of collections if you like. :)

I always when visiting museums exit though the gift shop and too buy postage of dinosaurs or their collections. I don’t usually keep the cards but send to friends. Please if you get the time can post some of your postcards here I would love to see them.

Cheers Bobby

Bobby,

I finally had a chance to scan some postcards.  Here are two from the Florida Museum of Natural History from the past couple of years.  The third one that shows the giant ground sloth is from the Museum of Arts and Sciences, Daytona Beach, Florida.  I visited that museum several years ago.

Hi Bobby,

Here are four postcards from the National Museum of Victoria Melbourne Australia.  The first one is a shot of an incredibly rare Parotodus dentition from the Early Miocene Batesford Limestone, Geelong, Victoria.  The one next to it shows an Early Cretaceous fish, Wadeichthys oxyops,  from the Korumburra Group, Koonwarra, Victoria.  The first one on the second row exhibits the crinoid, Heliocrinus plumosus, from the Silurian of West Brunswich, Melbourne and the last one is a close-up of a fossil feather from the same locali ty as the Wadesichthys oxyops.  I bought these several years ago from an Australian fossil dealer at Tucson.  He brought fossils and some books and other things like these postcards.

I'll try to get more scans this week.  After looking through desk drawers and file organizers, I found more postcards than I remembered.  I think I have them all together now.

Jess

Not plastic, just a drawing I came across cleaning my porch this week. I did this for my son about thirty years ago. His room was at the top of the stairs. Not a very good drawing, but at least it's a friendly creature coming for a visit.

Very nice. :) I like that a lot.

But it's also just a little bit sinister................

I picked up this set of plastic dinosaur cookie cutters (from 1994) while antiquing a couple of weeks ago.
