Spotted this fantastic photo of Triceratops skeleton in The Natural History Museum In 1979. I really love them old black white photos.

The opening of the new Field Museum at  the current location in 1921. Bigger cue than on my visit.

Did they call it the Field Museum because it's out in the middle of a field?

Where's the rest of the city?!

Named after I believe it’s first major benefactor, the department store magnate Marshall Field. It is very near to the edge of the massive Lake Michigan so a little way from the city. Great museum .

When my oldest son was a pre-schooler, he loved watching The Land Before Time movies. I am hoping my grandson will one day enjoy watching them, too. :)

Great diorama, Bobby Rico.  I really love the fossilizing TRex.

By coincidence, and before I saw your post, my niece showed me a little planter she made with various succulents. She set it down in front of me, and to my surprise, there stood a little plastic TRex. They do look cool placed among such plants, don't they? Cheers.

Looks like your niece has a good eye for creating a diorama, I would be really encouraging this behaviour. Very nice indeed thanks for sharing.
