Fossildude19
Welcome to the Forum. Unfortunately, I don't think this is a tooth. I don't see any signs of roots, and no clear chewing surface. Maybe a phosphate pebble? Hopefully some of our Florida hunters will weigh in on this. @Plantguy @Cris @Sacha @Harry Pristis Regards, Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." Plantguy
Man, thats interesting. I dont know what that is from these pics...can we get some other angles? Seems to be pretty well polished by the surf/water. My initial reaction is it isnt a tooth but...closer inspection may yield some other clues. jcbshark
I agree with it not being a tooth. That shape in the top pic looks similar to a piece of turtle shell Every once in a great while it's not just a big rock down there!

Tidgy's Dad
Also not seeing any diagnostic features of a tooth, i'm afraid. Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.
Sacha
Looks more like a fragment of a joint bone, like a wrist or ankle. Pretty hard to tell though.
