Stroke Crabs #2

RJB

Recommended Posts

Aaaaaaaalrighty then.  I havent been out in the prep garage too much, but went out today and picked out 4 "iffy' concretions.  One looked better than the rest, so,,, started on that one.  This is what happened.  Might be a good crab?  Oh, this concretion is 2nd from the left.  Looks to have a 'rear end', thats always a good thing!  Time will tell for the rest of the crab?

Thanks guys.  Yes, a bit of room for the legs and lots of room for the claws, but that doesnt mean anything.  Claws can go anywhere and be anywhere?  I do have high hopes for this one, but chances are that it wont end up in my collection.  Very hard to get one of those!!!!

Looking good, I’m sure whatever home it finds will appreciate it!

Hey Steve, I dont move too fast these days so its gunna be a few days before I can get to them.  Very soft and brittle rock.  Gunna take some stabilization and even haveing to put one or two back together.

Ok, I did a bit more prep on this thing yesterday.  Looks to only be a 4 legger?  Im also beating this thing up a bit.  Makes me feel like a novice.  Hard to hold the crab with my left hand but its gettin there.  Just about 4 or 5 more hours to go.

It's going to be a beauty, almost looks like it is fending off something

IM sure you would do a good job.  Ive got lots more patience nowadays, but most folks, like you, already have that patience.  Get yourself a crab conc and go to town with the prep.

 Experience makes quite a difference.

Yes, I have lived here for thirteen years now!

Love it here Fes medina, a medieval market city and the largest pedestrianized urban area in the world, 9,600 twisty-turny little streets with no cars!

You'd be most welcome! :)

It can be quite a culture shock and some don't like it, but it really is a wonderful country. :)

I guess it makes things more difficult, I had TB and lost a lot of my lungs permanently, never regained the weight I lost, but I find that as long as i'm careful and take lots of rests I can still get about and travel to places. People (not just in Morocco) are very understanding and kind and i won't let it put a stop to my life.

I think you have the same attitude, it just takes a bit of time to adjust to the 'new you'.
