Kojsh8
Please help me identify this fossil. We found it off an island in Tampa Bay. It is obviously some sort of tooth. My family and I are just beginning to enjoy fossil hunting so our knowledge is very limited. We are thinking it could be either a horse or camel. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
ynot
Welcome to TFF! Looks like horse, but more pictures may change that opinion. 3 Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Kojsh8
Thank you for everyone who commented. I was pretty sure it was a horse tooth from the research I did, but always good to get opinions from people who have much more experience than I do. Looking forward to the family’s next hunt and hopefully sharing more finds. Any idea on the time period it came from?
