I only see two fossils in the pictures in the link. This one is an imprint of a brachiopod shell: And this one looks like an infilled burrow: The rest are an assortment of river rocks, minerals, quartz, and coal, I believe. Regards, Chris I found a vein of it inside a tube of molted sand in my basement. I took a video of me pulling some of it out from the French drains but I can’t upload the video to this Site. Maybe I could create a link to it to my Gmail account....... I’ll be rtback

Crisjax
How can I tell if it’s coal? I scrubbed it clean in water. It’s very sparkly. Some of it has rainbows and some is mirror like-

caldigger
That pile looks like coal. Which would go along with an older house that was likely heated with a coal boiler or stove. Is there a slide looking thing ( coal shute) coming off one of the walls?
