I was looking for fossils around a bunch of small rocks and came across this, it was heavier than the other rocks and seems to have a “soft” feel and not hard and scatchy. Any info is appreciated

It seems to be a concretion with the outer layer partly broken off.

Hi, Adam!:)

I must confess, after having read the hilarious postings by the Fossil Forum denizens, I was expecting a thread titled "Fossilized nut" to take off on any number of tangents...

Seriously, that's a worthy concretion. A keeper.
