I use a common for Lepidodendron, Diaphorodendron, Synchisidendron and some other arborescent lycopods name - Lycopsid.

So, big stem fragment of the Lycopsid

Nice finds:).

Life started in the ocean. And so did my interest in fossils;).

Congratulations Roman on those magnificent, well preserved, intricate and diverse lycopod specimens and thanks for sharing them with your wonderful photos. You've certainly helped put Donetsk on the map for significant coal age plant sites.

Hey Roman, great photos and specimens. Looks like quite a few bucketfuls of material there. Love that Stigmaria! So what are these textures?

Hi Chris! Those are the Bothrodendron bark pieces a bit decorticated. You can see the thin Bothrodendron leafy shoot at the right side of the picture.

Fantastic--I thought they might be! Enjoyed seeing all of the finds...I did find some things that might be some stem sections several months ago here but thats about it for the fossil plant world in Florida. Lots of shells and the ocassional tooth/vertebrate fragment find. Thanks again for the photos of your finds.

Regards, Chris
