Engonoceras ammonites in this formation are usually pretty fragmented. This one still needs 5 minutes of scribe work, but it’s a keeper. Can’t hate on those sutures. 1 Grüße, Daniel A. Phymosoma texanum were the main draw, but therewere some Heteraster texanus around as well, to be expected in the Walnut. I don’t think I’ve been anywhere in the Walnut where intact ammonites were at all predictable. Just one a day is a prize in itself. For some reason, Engonoceras shows up whole way more frequently than Oxytropidoceras. I may only have one of the latter from the Walnut, and it may just be juvie whorls from a larger one.
