Found at Myrtle Beach, SC, where Cretaceous, Pliocene, and Pleistocene aged material can be found. This is an old find that  I had written off as a clam steinkern piece or something of the sort, but now looking at it the line patterning is pretty different than anything I’ve seen. Any ideas appreciated!

Water worn fish skull frontal?

I see similarities to the bottom row pieces in this post

In shape it is similar, but I don’t see any signs of the patterning, and I would think any patterning would be worn away were that the case. I won’t count it out though of course, thank you!

The traces seem almost too uniform, but If so that would be another first, thank you! :D

Maybe it's a worn hyperostosed bone, like the ones from here.

I think that could be a winner, I see some examples with the intricate lines. Thank you!
