Hi all,

While sifting for sharks teeth in the pebbles we came across these different looking ‘stones’. The top and bottom specimens are the ones we are questioning. Stones? Seeds? Scute? (Top one). Any help would be welcomed. Thanks in advance

Thanks @Kosmoceras that is very helpful.

Ive been looking through my copy of ‘London Clay Fossils of Kent and Essex’ and it seems very similar to palaeophytocrene foveolata. Could that be near the mark?

I think at least the top one and the bottom one are seeds from the London Clay.

The first once could be Palaeophytocrene, the other i'm not sure, may just be eroded layers of the sediment.

Thanks @Tidgy's Dad. Even if the bottom one does turn out to be an eroded stone, its a nice tactile object worthy of keeping.
