Jazfossilator
Found Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where Cretaceous, Pliocene, and Pleistocene material can be found. I posted about one of these on a previous thread a while back but since I found what I believe to be another in my unsorted boxes, and the previous thread was inconclusive I decided to post again and get some more thoughts, hope that’s okay. It was thought to be an osteoderm of some kind but any Ideas welcome and appreciated!

Sacha
In your original post, I said your first one looks like a glyptodont tail osteoderm. Here is a picture of the one I have that is similar, but somewhat larger.

The squared shape seems right, what is the size if you don’t mind?

Hmm, maybe the size difference is because yours is more complete, or it’s from a different part of the tail. Or I suppose it could be because these come from a smaller animal. In any case thank you for your help, yours is the closest I’ve seen to these pieces.
