Osteoderm?ID help

Found Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where Cretaceous, Pliocene, and Pleistocene material can be found. I posted about one of these on a previous thread a while back but since I found what I believe to be another in my unsorted boxes, and the previous thread was inconclusive I decided to post again and get some more thoughts, hope that’s okay. It was thought to be an osteoderm of some kind but any Ideas welcome and appreciated!   BB8D8257-D092-47EF-BFC4-904273C4ECF9.thumb.jpeg.35795b1de8b804ad831189f1f722d53a.jpeg98FFD5F4-AF69-4EDD-987F-B05CBFE89D6E.thumb.jpeg.5844a322a414356032368c9682d03a2f.jpeg10D590E8-9415-484B-A2A0-F2FB645C7D86.jpeg.81d038f49d41ad7a855de901df8d83ef.jpeg8322DE61-35A3-4931-AD6F-9D5A17E47446.jpeg.bf06d0066a9accfda008f0c85184ec7d.jpeg1D1B3007-61DB-4E9E-9A1E-BE2E28701537.thumb.jpeg.78a0bfd3c1020cf9e788f32a08494844.jpeg4D9A119F-16C8-4169-A3BD-BDA2364F0E01.thumb.jpeg.79d40f6bbfaee82e8183bb3f9ce26fe2.jpeg

Ray dermal denticles.

Could be, but in this shape wouldn't there be other options in the osteoderm line ?

In your original post, I said your first one looks like a glyptodont tail osteoderm. Here is a picture of the one I have that is similar, but somewhat larger.

Thanks for adding this :D, I remembered the idea and sure would be happy if that’s what they might be! The squared shape seems right, what is the size if you don’t mind?

It's 30 mm along the primary axis, or the axis of symmetry.

Hmm, maybe the size difference is because  yours is more complete, or it’s from a different part of the tail. Or I suppose it could be because these come from a smaller animal. In any case thank you for your help, yours is the closest I’ve seen to these pieces.

Here is a thread, considers Glyptodon tail, and turtle spur. http://www.thefossilforum.com/index.php?/topic/14121-hersheys-kiss/ and I guess it could be denticle also...image.png.bf784f5553257868dc9a0d0d78cc8263.png

just considering that "flat" top

It certainly bears some resemblance to that denticle, though I’m not sure if the flat top on my piece is due to wear or not. Thanks for adding to my post!
