Need help IDing this Indian microfossil

Any chance someone knows what these are? They are most probably Holocene-aged (last 12,000 years). 

 

They come from a dry playa lake setting (inland) in India - the Thar Desert. Size is about 1mm wide, and 1.5+mm long... there is a funny raised hollow insert. Would love to get some tips!

It may even be right.

Phytoliths are an incredibly interesting occurrence and worth reading up on.

Classification is difficult, though.
