Bone or wood?

Just got back from a lovely sandsend fossil trip.

 

i found afew boney/woody pieces on the beach. I wonder if anyone can tell the difference because i have trouble.

 

This is probably the most interesting.

I agree, I think wood, but shots of the ends may help us see it differently.

This last picture makes Me think it is a cryptocrystalline quartz, but not petrified wood. It does not have the proper structure.

Does not look like bone either.

This new picture makes me think ynot is right. 

It's limestone with some pretty extensive quartz veining at one end.
