talon22
Hi, I want to apologise if this is a silly question or if it has been talked about before, but a few of the fossils in my collection were commented by the seller as having filled fractures. I wanted to ask exactly what this means, like if it has matrix/sand added to stabilise the fossil or if some composition has occurred (or if the entire fossil is one natural piece), and if this is a normal practice for fragile fossils. Thanks.
Darktooth
You got it right. Filled fractures are just that. They have been filled in the hide the fracture. Usually are filled in with crushed matrix and glue mixture. 3 I like Trilo-butts and I cannot lie.
