JustPlainPetrified Posted June 3, 2018 Share Posted June 3, 2018 One of our relatives who ranches in the Porcupine Hills of Southern Alberta, west of Claresholm, found this skull and others in the creek running through the valley floor. Many years since bison roamed this area. From what I can tell it is a Plains Bison (Bison bison bison). What a fantastic find! I'd imagine there are areas in the S. Alberta foothills that would have similar caches...just need to be in the right place at the right time.
