That's wonderful; thanks Paul! I've always loved "astropaleobiology" - I'm sure that if we do find life outside the Earth's atmosphere, it's likely that it'd be fossilised. And it would be nothing like the movie E-T's (probably something much less complex than that).

Opalised fossils are the best: a wonderful mix between paleontology and mineralogy!
