Coprolite or ...?

I think that's an ammonite or nautiloid still stuck to a bit of matrix.

Trying to see that. :headscratch:Are you talking about the ridge? If so, That is what makes me question whether this is a coprolite. The surface texture is interesting.  @Carl thoughts?

If the blue is where the ammonite is stuck to the matrix at the bottom, the yellow is the umbilicus and the green the chamber?

This image of the other side, also with umbilicus, looks very like a nautiloid :

Location of the find / geological settings and a comparative scale may be helpful in the ID. :)
I could see features of your specimen guiding me to microbial laminites with coprolites.
