Fossil Found in Central Pennsylvania

This is a piece of a fossil that I found in a field in western Pennsylvania in the United States. It has a serrated feel to the edge, as if it is a tooth. I couldn't seem to find another part to it. There are lines that run vertically along the fossil as well.

I don't think this is a tooth - not seeing any enamel.

Most of Western PA is Pennsylvanian in age. I would lean more towards plant on this.

Better photos in daylight rather than artificial light would be helpful.

What county in Western PA?

It will be just a guess, but it really looks like Artisia.

Found in Clarion County. Looked up atisia fossils, and saw other pictures that looked like other fossils I have found. They must have been very common in this area.

Clarion is probably far enough west to include marine beds between the coal beds. If you can get a copy of "Fossil Collecting in Pennsylvania" it will help you.
