Welcome to the Forum. :)

What is the size of this fish?

@ynot @Fossildude19 @Bone guy

I've always wondered: what are the differences between Knightia eocenea and K. alta?

Knightia alta  has a much deeper body than K. eocaena, and also has a smaller/shorter caudal fin.

If you're a fossil nut from Palos Verdes, San Pedro, Redondo Beach, or Torrance, feel free to shoot me a PM!

As Fossildude19 said in another post,

Aha, that explains it. Never thought it would be so easy/evident (I was preparing to look up fancy terms for different fish parts :P)

Thank you!

Ah thanks Tim, I'll have to remind myself to bookmark this document when I get back home!
