caterpillar
Here some pictures of my FOTM prep. Unfortunely, I have no pictures of the skull prep. Only the mandible http://www.paleotheque.fr

Fruitbat
Beautiful prep work on a VERY nice specimen! How hard is that matrix to remove? I've done similar specimens from the White River Badlands in Nebraska/South Dakota/Wyoming, USA and I know how carefully you have to work on those to remove them from the matrix without damaging them. -Joe Illigitimati non carborundum Fruitbat's PDF Library

caterpillar
The matrix is very hard and the bone is like plaster. The enamel breaks like glass. A true nightmare!! I dont know exactly the time to prep but many, many hours! And the prep of skull was ten times worse. White River material is Disneyland for comparison!! http://www.paleotheque.fr
RJB
Wow! Matrix like concrete with glass like bone! Id say you did an excellent job!! A really nice piece! RB

jpc
I have to agree... White River is Disneyland compared to this stuff. Assuming the pieces you brought me were from the same site. The matrix looks the same.
