Christmas in June

Christmas came today in the form of a free compressed air filter and desiccant rig. I just need to mount it and replace the desiccant insert. Woohoo! No more clumpy abrasives.

And just how did we come upon a "free" filtration unit?

Pray tell the story behind the canister.

It’s not a very exciting story.

It was abandoned in one of the buildings I am in the process of vacating and the landlord wanted it removed. The general manager said I could have it. I think it might have something to do with the fact that I came in $100k under budget on a new building for him.

The desiccant replacement is only $90 whereas the whole unit is $650 new! I’ll take it.

Now see, that was a good story with a fairytale happy ending.

Never snub a freebie, especially if it fits your unit. :D
