Fossilized bone?

Recommended Posts

Paleo’s daughter

This was found in the sand at Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. It looks like fossilized bone? If so, I was hoping that someone would have an idea of what it is from.

It's a bone fragment indeed.

Very worn to know from what.

As stated, this is something we might call a "Chunk-o-saur" , meaning unidentifiable chunk of bone.

It may be to broken or worn to ID any further.

I'd wait for some bone experts/locals,  to weigh in, however.

EDIT: Oh, and, Welcome to the Forum. :)

I really have no idea as to what type of bone it may be. I will hazard a guess to say that due to its size it could be whale, but I would also not rule out crocodile.
