Nice ammonites, @subsonicdrone! Think they'll look great with a bit of prepping ;)

Nice finds! The ammo in the first pic appears to have a brachiopod "hitchhiker" in the middle.

Actually, these are gastropods, ... not ammonites.

This one, in particular, looks like Maclurites sp.

Neat finds - thanks for posting them.

Do not know the area/ formation the fossils came from, but they look similar to Maclurites we find here in the Ordovician, not ammonites. More info would help. Beat me to the punch!!!!!!

Can you give a very rough idea where you were? If you were north of Lake Nippissing, I think the gastropods are Maclurina manitobensis.

That's what I figured. I believe you were likely in the Farr formation and the ID I gave stands. They are pretty common up there.

Hi Coco!

GTA stands for "Greater Toronto Area", so it means that he lives close to Toronto.  Technically, I also live in the GTA, but by writing Mississauga I'm just being more specific.

Yup - they're playing Peru at 11am my time (so I'm guessing 5pm your time? In any case, the match should start in about 2 hours...)

Best of luck to your team!!!
