Calvert Cliffs find

My family and I were at Calvert Cliffs today and discovered this. Any thoughts?

It is a pufferfish mouthplate.

Nice find! That is the first one that I have heard about coming from the cliffs.

I'm sorry, I misidentified it at first. This is actually a Burrfish/Porcupine fish mouthplate. Puffer fish have jaws that consist of two halves, unlike this one which is one whole jaw.

Superficially similar fish, easy to confuse (as I did as well)

Yep, they look almost exactly the same on the outside, yet belong to different families.
