Oh, that's nice - I really like that watercolour eurypterid :) 

Opalised fossils are the best: a wonderful mix between paleontology and mineralogy!

 

Q. Where do dinosaurs study?

DrDave... Yes Ridgemount from years ago when you had a chance of finding one... pretty much almost impossible to find a complete one any more. Used to be you would find a complete one for about 20 hours of splitting. I have not found a complete one in the last 40 hours there.. Last week I was there 8 hours along with 6 other people in total between us 3 75% complete eurypterids and 2 decent phylocarids. LOts of partial bits...... Not that great for 40 to 45 collecting hours....

A rainbow Rorchach Eurypterid.

Oh of course! It's just that the purple obscured the arms so I couldn't see it properly.
