Big compliment for the way you collected and document the bones. The images etc helped me a lot in my quest and identification of my woolly rhino bones. Question: Do you know how to find information with decent images of the skeleton and especially the vertebra of the Woolly Rhino? it's a big trouble to find really good resources about the vertebra's and to linkt them to the woolly rhino and not other animals. even "specialists" sometimes mixed up the identification of the particular vertebra. success with finding the other puzzle "bones" pieces. Thanks, that's great to hear. I definitely plan to document more of the bones. It's just that the whole photography process takes a lot of time. Initially I just trusted the seller's ID. And over time I gathered more experience myself and was able to correct any incorrect IDs. When I went to the natural history museum in Paris I also took a tonne of photos of the woolly rhino skeleton they have on display there. That helped me a lot. Closer to home I know there's a replica skeleton in the museum in Boxtel. 35 minutes ago, MiseriKing said: great What for programm you use for 3d? For the 3D scanning process I use visualSFM, CloudCompare and Meshlab, in that order. If you search for photogrammetry on the forum there's a great tutorial thread on the whole process. 1 Olof Moleman AKA Lord Trilobite
