Yesterday my girlfriend and I made a fieldtrip to the Northern French coast.

The tides were ideal to search for the whole day in the late cretaceous chalk deposits of Cap Blanc Nez.

The start was a bit slow, not a lot of fossils to be seen, but when going further up the beach the first ammonites started to apear.

the result of the day where a few decent ammonites ( schloenbachia varians and Mantelliceras sp. ), a few shark teeth: Natalie found most of them and she found a spectacular cowshark teeth, the first one I ever saw from there.

My find of the day was a small but complete Cymatoceras ( Nautilus )

Nice collection of fossils!  I especially like the ammonites and nautiloid :ammonite01:

By the way - is that a crab in the lower right hand corner of the group shot?!

Thx, the lower right hand is a fragment of a lobster or ghostschrimp tail, not sure of the exact species.

Those finds are awesome! The sharks are all epic, the ammonites look very nice, and the crustaceans pretty cool as well! Nice job:dinothumb::envy:
