Hey Bobby,

Thanks !!!

Yeah, I decided it was better to just keep updating a single thread. Easier to keep track for myself, like a scrapbook ? Haha My memory is horrible.

Well, it's always an adventure no matter what comes out of the ground.

Cheers,

Brett

Well, the weather was nice when I went out last week. Unfortunately, my normal drop in point is under construction and , having found the bid contract, it looks like it is slated for over 200 days ! .. Gah ! These guys are gonna kill my good karma.  I tried in vain to find an alternate put in spot, so I had to find another public launch.

Where I normally drop into the water the paddle , with the tides if I time it correctly, is just under two miles.  Today I was saved by the foggy conditions but the paddle turned out to be just under 10 miles total.  These are ocean tides so thank my lucky stars I had planned ahead that day.  I was sore everywhere and the blisters were aplenty.

(PS. Did I mention that I think my tolerance has been reached and I just purchased a trolling motor ??  hahaha .... Yeah, that happened)

The finds were limited to a smaller location because i was on a rising tide, my hunting schedule was reversed because of the drop in point. Still, I pulled a nice sperm whale periotic out of the matrix and my trip maker was this crazy tiger shark tooth from an unusual position.  I'm assuming near the centerline on the lower jaw.

The turtle shell was nice and I found a whale (?) tooth with interesting color and a chunk or cusp of a mastodon tooth.  Horse teeth and fish verts in various conditions rounded out the top. How do I always go home with Tilly bones ?!  They are like Tribbles I tell you ....

Awesome stuff, especially love all the GWs. The tiger is pathological rather than symphyseal.

Thanks ! ... it was definitely an odd shaped tooth but it looks amazing.

On a different note .. here are my 'raw scans' of each trip that I take so I can quickly tag the finds with a date and a matching image. I know it is not as tidy as field notes but it serves it's purpose until I can put them away where they belong. It also helps me to hone in on anything particularly visually interesting, especially if I want to explore the piece further.
