A tooth I found at a quarry embedded in some sand stone. Possibly Buffalo?

I found this one in a quarry embedded in sand stone in Southeast, SD. I think it's from a buffalo but not entirely sure. Any guesses?

It's a pretty big and nice horse lower cheek tooth, not buffalo. :)

Interesting! Was it found loose? In a crack filled with hardened sand? What is mined in this quarry?

It does seem like a quick lithification.

The tooth is about 4 inches long, 1.5 inches wide found partially exposed in a large hunk of sand stone. I believe the quarry was used for gravel, sand, and pea rock possibly more. I go there to fish but I always find various fossils there.
