Jeffrey P
That partial ammonite is quite an extraordinary find for New Jersey's Cretaceous brooks. Huge congratulations on having found it. I like many other regular collectors in that area have yet to find one even nearly that complete.

Darktooth
The best part of this find is that it was a classic case of persistence. You all know "Just another 5 minutes". "Just one more shovel full". At this point Frank had left and about 10-15 min later my wife said she was taki g the boys back to the car to get snacks and drinks. I told her I would be back shortly. As I worked my way back to the car I noticed a very small gravel bar almost under water with sticks and leaves partially covering it. Thats a sure sign nobody had searched it yet. Found the ammo after a few scoops along with a couple teeth. Had I left with my wife I wouldn't have found it. I like Trilo-butts and I cannot lie.
