Szkarłupnia
Hi, This is shark tooth was found in sand, which brought a glacier. Poland. Could you identyfy genus of shark?
Miocene_Mason
Here’s it right side up. I’m confident it’s from either Isurus or Carcharodon, and just from enamel shape it’s most like Carcharodon hastalis. It’s very worn though so it would be hard to give that ID a high degree of certainty. “...whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been and are being evolved.” ~ Charles Darwin Happy hunting, Mason
powelli1
Hi Szkarupnia it looks like a lower Parotodus benedeni tooth to me, nice tooth anyway. George
fossilselachian
With that prominent lingual torus, I see Parotodus as a possibility as well.
Miocene_Mason
I forget you find those more frequently over there.
