Fossils in east coast mountains

Are there any good fossil hunting spots close by east coast mountains? My family is going camping in the mountains on the east coast, but we haven't decided where, and I'm trying to find mountains near fossil hunting spots. Thanks

Your best bet would be to look at geologic maps and see which mountains lay upon fossiliferous formations. West Virginia has quite a few formations that house fossils, as well as mountains. Canaan valley I remember in particular, though it’s a valley.

There are no fossils in the North Carolina mountains. Virginia, West Virginia has some in places.

"East coast mountains" is extremely vauge.  If you want an informative answer you'll have to be more specific about the straight you are interested in.
