Surfcoast Phil
Hi I’m a new member with little experience. Found this on a beach near Torquay in Victoria Australia. It had weathered out from a limestone/ sandstone cliff. Wondering if it is bone. Whale bones have been found in these cliffs in the past. Wondering what people think. caldigger
This looks like stone. Possibly a weathered burrow cast of some sort. Can you take a pic of the ends?
Connah
I'm with @caldiggeron this one but keep looking.
Dan 1000
Im also afraid that is not a fossil. If you are inetersted, there is a lot of good places to check out along the surf coast. Jan Juc Beach and Bells Beach to name a few. Go further down to Portland and you can find shark teeth on the beach. You can find fossils in any cliffs along the surf coast I believe. Hope this helps, Daniel

Surfcoast Phil
Internal is a completely different rick to the external sandstone, when you look really carefully the structure of the internal rock is honeycombed, my pictures I know are not good and the rock has been tumble in the ocean to smooth it out. If it’s not sandstone what else might it be do you think.
