MiseriKing
I apologize for the multiple posts. But so many interesting things I want to buy, and literature in our language is not always enough, as well as people who specialize in dinosaurs. We have a lot of specialists in unvertebrates, marine reptiles and the ice period fauna. But with beds of other countries is not very. Is it really a dinosaur caprolit? The seller writes that you can see the bony inclusions.
Seguidora-de-Isis
Hello my friend. Do not feel embarrassed for questions. Always ask as many questions as you wish, and I bet there are a lot of friends here who are always willing to help. Visible bone inclusion? At where? In my opinion, one of the most promising places to find wonderful examples of coprolites is undoubtedly Kem Kem beds in Morocco. But unfortunately, this is a rather poor specimen, lots of matrix around the coprolite to give a really accurate opinion. Careful cleaning is necessary. But even so I'm seeing some patterns here: And after careful cleaning, perhaps he may look like something quite like this here: But only through these photos I can say that it's definitely a real coprolite, most likely it is a Spiral Coprolite. But I do not think it's from a dinosaur , I believe it's a fish coprolite. Be careful with this seller! They are quick to label, but it takes forever to taste what they label! 5 Is It real, or it's not real, that's the question!

Not sure you want to include "taste" and "coprolite" in the same context! Let's get our resident Poopologist to have a look. I think caldigger was trying to be funny and referring taste to poop (coprolite) 2 Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Will Rogers said: " Some of them didn't spring far enough." Very informative analysis, and I agree very much that we have to be careful with fossil sellers labeling something that is another thing simply for selling at a higher price. And as always, our good friend from Argentina @Seguidora-de-Isis is helpful and humorous
caldigger
So does this mean no hugs for me Douglas? I am not doubting you, In fact I do agree. It does appear to have a spiral pattern. Lori just might be able to give better insight as to which behind left this behind.

It seemed that my opinion was not welcome in this post. But okay, no problem, let's forget this. 1 Is It real, or it's not real, that's the question! Haravex
You do actually get a lot of white coprolites from the aoufous formation which I'm guessing that is where it might be from which is in the kem kem beds.

I see a spiral coprolite as well - so fish. 3 Lori www.areallycrappystory.com/fossils www.facebook.com/fossilpoo
