Sculpt - hand test

MiseriKing

Recommended Posts

I always wanted to see where my hands are growing. Once went to the store bought clay for modeling, children's tools, and acrylic paints.

So the first sculpture of a megalodon's tooth was born. In a scale of 1 to 1

Honey, it's people like you that make us weary of buying fossils online.

Very nice work, you have a talent I will never possess. :dinothumb:

  • 1 month later...

Do you make these for a museum?  I can just imagine your house full of prehistoric creatures.

* On a side note, everybody probably thought your wife was the poster because she has always been the subject in all your picture posts.

Stick that thing just inside your front door and you won't need a watchdog to scare off burglars ( it also works well for inlaws!)

Did you make this one this actual size?!

I know your wife is just Photoshoped next to it, but what is the actual size?

Isn't this that thing that guarded the Gate's of Hell  in the Ghostbuster II movie?

I am sure you did a very good job of recreating what this creature looked like, but that is one scary looking animal!

It looks like what the offspring might come out looking like if you cross bred a Blind Mole-rat with a Jerusalem Cricket (Potato Bug).

Son, if you're wanting to make all these creatures full scale size, I think you will need an airplane hanger to display them in real soon!

Hi MiseriKing

They look great well done.

I have next week off work and thought I would  like to make a sculpture myself. I have never made a sculpture before but I will give it a go. Can I please see your sculpture just placed on a table.

Thanks Bobby

Which one are you going to do Bobby?  One of his examples or something different?

I'll bet I could do a fair job on an amoeba. :P

Hi

I would do something different of course but what is the question? I may do a post or a creature feature showing a few choices and take some suggestions.

You can always take a stab at our favorite sail backed reptile!

Or pick something we don't see often, one of those obscure creatures from the ancient past that conjure up nightmares.

There are so many funky things that used to crawl the earth.

How about a transitional animal?  Not quite this, but a bit different from that.
