Thumper11
I found this walking on an ocean beach in Northern Washington State near the Strait and not sure what it is. It is about 3 in long and 2 in diameter. It is hollow inside. Thanks in advance for any help.

Peat Burns
Looks like a barnacle. Let's see what others say.
DPS Ammonite
14 hours ago, Peat Burns said: Looks like a barnacle. Let's see what others say. I also thought that it looked like a barnacle in a duplicate post in another section. Holy confusion. Looks like worn giant barnacle especially in the last photo. Notice the alternating wedge/triangular sections on the outside of the shell that are similiar to the reddish and striped wedge/triangular sections in the photo below. My goal is to leave no stone or fossil unturned. See my Arizona Paleontology Guide link The best single resource for Arizona paleontology anywhere.
