What is this?

I found this walking on an ocean beach in Northern Washington State near the Strait and not sure what it is. It is about 3 in long and 2 in diameter. It is hollow inside. Thanks in advance for any help.

I also thought that it looked like a barnacle in a duplicate post in another section. Holy confusion.

 

Looks like worn giant barnacle especially in the last photo. Notice the alternating wedge/triangular sections on the outside of the shell that are similiar to the reddish and striped wedge/triangular sections in the photo below.
